Over 60 new chemical entities (NCE) will loose patent protection between 2016 to 2022.
These NCE generated USD 50 billion in 2010.
The generic bulk will generate about 4 billion USD annual sales.

Non-infringing APIs will have to be synthesized with competitive selling prices.

The study lists Australia, Europe, Japan and United States patent extensions (SPC), market autorisation, indications, brand and SPC holders and the relevant patents.
